What is the Fall Conference?
The Fall Conference is a weekend retreat full of biblical teaching, worship, prayer, and fellowship. This year, Pastor Tom Brown will be our guest speaker. The retreat is designed to provide opportunities for students and young adults to spend time together away from campus and find answers to big questions about God at a crucial time in life.
What is the conference like?
The Fall Conference is designed to be a refreshing and laid-back weekend to spend time with friends and hear from God. Five teaching times are divided throughout the weekend so that attendees can take breaks and enjoy activities and fellowship. There will be bonfires in the evenings as well as sand volleyball and a Saturday flag football tournament. For more details on the weekend, please see the schedule page.
Who is the speaker at the Fall Conference?
Pastor Tom Brown of Vintage Faith Church in Wichita, KS will be our guest speaker this year. He dedicated his life to following Jesus while studying Philosophy at Colorado State University. Tom and his wife, Mandy, have worked together for 13 years in the exhilarating work of creating new churches and new humans. Before moving to Wichita, he was the pastor of Vintage Faith Students at Kansas State University.
When and where is the Fall Conference?
This year’s Fall Conference is September 15-17, 2017. The conference will be held at Jordan Park Camp in West Des Moines, Iowa. Free parking is available on the Jordan Park grounds.
What is Campus Fellowship?
The conference is hosted by Campus Fellowship, a student organization at Drake University sponsored by Walnut Creek Church. Campus Fellowship is a Christ-centered, gospel focused, and service minded family of believers. Walnut Creek also sponsors Campus Fellowship student groups at DMACC and other area campuses.
